Old milling to cnc

I have old milling and I’m planning to convert in cnc , it will be my first cnc build project and no Prior knowledge , where I will start , my milling is not moving up and down only spindle can move up down with worm gear ,how I can add Z axis motor on that and which stepper moter should I use (how much kg-cm torque ).
